Bike / Run transition reply

HI,

I read your question regarding cycle/run transitions.   I feel

the cycle/run transition is actually one of my strong points in

        triathlon.

Before I do any running workouts, I cycle first.  Close to the end

of the cycle, standup on the pedals and stretch your legs and back.

After you get off the bike, do not make any sudden movements, to

        avoid getting cramps.

I start off my runs very slowly, and pick up the pace halfway

through.   In other words, I recreate race conditions when I train.

I found that this has not only improved my triathlon capabilities,

but has also improved my running times. I feel like I'm running

on air if I haven't cycled first.   The only time I do not cycle

before a run is when I'm doing an intense track workout.
