I recently completed a half-ultra distance race in about 7.5 hours.
That was my goal - to finish. Having done that, I can't stop thinking
about trying an ultra distance race, but I'm nervous about it at the
same time. It's twice the distance and I'm sure more than twice
the time.I was pretty wiped after the tinman, but I really want
to complete an ultra.
Those out there who have made this jump, I'd appreciate hearing your
experiences. In addition to adding training miles, what else should
I be thinking of? How much better condition do I need to be in? How
much tougher is an Ironman - mentally and physically? Any advice
or stories will help me decide whether to go for it or not.
