G.

I don't have the e-mail address for the director of the race, but I did
get a response.  The bike course is kind of described in it.  Here it is:

Packet pick-up is at Peoria City Hall, 8401 W. Monroe from 9:30 to 5:00
on May 31.  Because you will be given a free pass into the park and
because of traffic problems at the race site, it is not possible to pick
up your packet on race morning.

There is no bike check in.

The race starts at the north boat ramp (just before Castle Hot Springs
Road turns to dirt.  The bike course goes south on Castle Hot Springs to
Highway 74, then west 2.2 miles.  The bike returns the same way except
to detour to the park operations center.  The run 3.1 miles north on
Castle Hot Springs Road and return.

they haven't given out a course map yet, but it is the supposed to be the
same course as the old Bud Light Tri's in the 80's.  The bike & run are
hilly and on the highway and the swim is off of one of the boat launch
ramps at the Lake.  I can probably give you some more detailed info if you
know the area, are you from Phoenix??

See you there!!

John is correct. I did a brick on Friday out there and I'm glad I did! The
bike is hilly but it was the run course I was unfamiliar with. It's about
2/3 on that *** Castle Hot Springs road (rocks, dirt, major up and
downs). The good news is that the  boat ramp area and parking is all brand
new. Also, signs are already up telling boaters and jetskiiers that the
ramp and road will be closed for three days, May 30th - June 1st.

If you need directions to the Peoria Town Hall for packet pickup, just
E-mail.

If this is the same course I did in 1994? I remember it was just very hot.
The ride wasn't that hilly, but the run rolled a bit and the tack weed was
***.
