Leg Cramps in the Swim Leg

Leg Cramps in the Swim Leg

I've been told by a swim coach that most non-abdominal cramps in the swim are
caused by improper breathing technique.  Try fully expiring with regular
frequency to lower the CO2 level in the ***.  From what I understand there
are two chemicals at work Acetylcholine and Cholinesterase, to contract and
relax contraction of muscles respectively.  Somehow the relaxation chemical is
made ineffective and that causes the cramping.
