Workout Frequency and Types....Brick, Runs, Swims, weights

Hi there,

Just wondering whether 3 brick workouts consisting of 40k bike and 8.5-10k
run, and 4 swims a week, weights and circuit training...is enough, or
overboard?
Where does one draw the line at burnout? Coaches and peers advise, "do what
feels right, and comfortable," but how much time should be put into chasing
down and getting that new PB - I find I'm trying harder on every workout just
to be consistent in terms of reducing my times and getting a new PB each time.

Your workouts sound good to me, I usually bike 5
times a week, run 6 or 7 days a week and swim
4-5.  Many days I do all 3 events (although I dont
lift weights).  Luckily I have the available time
to do this, if not I would concentrate on quality
with a long ride or run each week.  Some days I
just dont feel like doing 3 events or even 2,
this is usually a good sign  you need a rest that
day, which I take.  I think consistency is the
most important part of any exercise program.
