Port of San Diego Int'l Tri?

Port of San Diego Int'l Tri?

Does anyone have the scoop on the Port of San Diego International
Triathlon course?  The entry form mentions a hilly ride to Cabrillo
Monument.  I hope 'hilly' in this context does not mean the same
thing as it does at Wildflower :)

Hilly on this course means about 600' of climbing over a couple miles, and
then small rollers from there.  On Catalina Blvd it kinda plateaus a
little bit, but you finally get it going once your up on the top doing the
the 2 loops.

I've done both Wildflower and the SD int'l and, well, let me
just say that the two are no comparisom.  SD is much more tame
.. there really is only one major hill, which is a mild to steep
climb in the first 3-5 miles.  Once you conquer that, its gentle
rolling hills until you turnaround and go back down.

By the way, the bike is on a beautiful peninsula that is
surrounded by the pacific.  Really nice.

I'll see ya there,

Eric
