Triathlon at Sydney???

A California, USA paper has a quote that the IOC has decided not to
change the number of athletes or sports for 2000.  Does this mean that
the three provisional sports, including triathlon, will not occur in
Sydney?

Inquiring triathlete minds want to know...

What I've read is that triathlin and taekwondo will be in, and all sports
held in Atlanta will remain (with the exception of whitewater canoe/kayak).

The new sports will be added, but they have axed white-water kayaking.
Triathlon will definitely be there in Sydney 2000!
