Andi:

Go to http://www.atlantagames.com/oly/news.m26sked.htm

I think it's a complete sked, but it doesn't list a time for the women's
3000 meters.  Do you know if that's no longer an oly event?  If so, that's
pretty stupid.  Remember how in '84 they introduced the women's marathon,
but wouldn't give them a 5k or 10k?

enjoy the games,

The women's 3000 was replaced by the 5000 this year, bringing the women's
list of events closer to the men's.  Look for a women's 2000 or 3000
meter steeplechase in 2000 or 2004.

Oooh. A women's steeplechase! That sounds cool.  I've never seen one, have you?

I ran the steeple a few times in college.  It's a fun event (but damn
hard).  No disrespect to women intended, but I hope they're going to use
shorter barriers -- I could barely get over the men's barriers, and I'm
six feet tall and (at the time) in damn good shape.  And I swear they get
higher with each lap. :-)
