does anyone know what the little pool is that the olympic divers use?

I'm trying to figure out what the little pool is that the divers get in
after they dive...

Is it to get warm?  Why not just take a warm shower?

Why do they ALL go in there? ...and sometimes only for a few seconds.

Cess pool for when there is a cessation of diving

Well, I saw the ladies 10m diving event and I saw a lot of steam coming
from the water.  That figures - there were quite a few hotties there,
especially that pretty little girl from Canada that won the bronze.
So, yeah, they go in there to 'warm up'.......

What a riot!  ROTFLMBO!
All kidding aside, the divers go into the "cesspool" to rinse off the
chlorine fromm the pool water.

I thought it was to warm their muscles after the main pool -- which
supposedly doesn't have a lot of chlorine in it -- the Australian Olympic
pools have some special filtering systems so that chlorine isn't necessary
[and hot tubs always have more chemicals than large pools because they are
generally much dirtier]

It isn't chlorinated because some swimmers have low chlorine tolerance,
particularly
in their eyes. The filtering system is oxygen based.

I don't know what the little pool is for.

That reminds me of that golfer who is allergic to lawn :)

: I don't know what the little pool is for.

I assume it's because accelerating into a body of water
at 9.8ms2 stings like a ***, and the little pool is
there to help people get back on the horse. :)

I think the *little pool* is a *hot tub*--so the divers can stay loosened up
between dives--too bad they don't serve margaritas there!
