A 22-year-old young man from Korea won the summer olympic
men's marathon.
His name is Young-Cho Hwang, a son of a fisherman and a sea woman.
He finished his 2hr 13min 23sec long journey with a pride and
a special emotion of Korean people.

Fifty six years ago in Berlin, two Korean marathoners won the gold and
bronz medals under the Korean flag flying only in their hearts.
Their names are Kee-Chung Shon and Sung-Ryoung Nam.
One of the biggest Korean daily news, Dong-A Daily News, was forced
to close by the Japanese occupationers because their news report
was without the Japanese national flag on Shon's uniform.
It was deleted from the picture by the reporters.
Many reporters were arrested by the Japanese in relation to this protest.
