OE>Get a life dude.  It's rather absurd to some of us that she get off

You said it. For all too many of us, "innocent until proven guilty" is a
sick joke, a crock, and a very dangerous delusion. Anyone who has ever
worked as a temp knows that they can be dismissed at any time for any
reason, can be falsely accused of any misdeeds the employer wants to use
as an excuse, and can have no possible recourse. Having just been
through such a travesty, I am outraged that Tonya Harding got *far* more
"fair treatment" than I could ever hope for - and with far less reason.
It's just one more instance proving that there is one law for the rich
and/or famous, and another for the rest of us.

* OLX 2.1 TD * OK, I'm weird! But I'm saving up to be eccentric. :-)

OK, let me get this straight.  Some company decided they needed some
temporary help, so they PAID a temp service company to send you over to
work for them (or some reasonable facsimile).  And then they had the
audacity to think that just because they were paying your salary, that
they had the right to decide that they didn't need your services anymore
(for whatever reason) ?  You do not have a _right_ to have a job.  That
employer had no obligation to continue your employment if he/she so
desired.  They are not required to keep you working there.  Geez..  My
advice?  Learn to live in the real world (which is not nice, no matter
how much you tell it to be)..  Or, of course, you could join the UAW and
become unfireable...   But then they've been having some ***y tiny
problems lately, haven't they?
