Pens gave Isles no respect?

After the review of game 7 on ESPN there was a blurb with Islander Ray
Ferraro (I think) saying that the Penguins gave them "no respect." I realize
he was understandably e***d, but were there actual incidents in which
Penguin players publicly showed a condescending attitude toward the Isles?

Just curious,

I havn't heard of such incidences, but no one was giving the Isles
respect since they were 32 pts below the Pens.  The Bulls havn't
given the Cavs much respect either.

Kevin Stevens guarenteed the Pittsburgh fans a victory in Game 6.

And all the announcers predicted either a sweep or a 5 game series.
And I somehow remember hearing something about the Pens "looking forward"
to the Canadiens....

Interesting that you'd draw that comparison. Alot of it has to do with
expectations. After all, do you think the Bulls would be playing so well
if alot of people hadn't predicted the Knicks to win the East?
Maybe the Penguins needed to hear a few more nay-sayers...

Mostly coming from Kevin Stevens' mouth.  After he "guaranteed" a victory
in Game 6, he said something like "Great teams win the big games, and we are
a great team".  And look what happened to him in Game 7 (Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha).
Also, Mario wanted to "get the series over with" in Game 6.  What a joke,
reading all of this ***now.  Even after they lost, I read a quote (I'm
not sure who), which said the Penguins "shouldn't have let it go 7 games",
like they had a choice !  Gimme a break, between all of this fake bravado
and all the whining and complaining on the ice, they deserved what they
got, especially Stevens.

Go ISLES GO !!!!!
