LINDROS INJURED

I just got the tragic news that Eric Lindros tore a medial-collateral
ligament in the game against the Devils tonight.  I was so devistaded that I
forgot what the score was at the time.  The team *should* be able to play
well without him, but the truth is that they *won't*  Fortunately,
Soderstrom is back, so what they're losing for the next 3-6 weeks in offence
will be somewhatbalanced by the fact that Roussell won't have to play every
game.  The lead was good while it lasted.  Maybe the Flyers will recognize
that He (yes, the capital "H" is intentional) is not the whole team.

They said he'll be out 3-6 weeks.  Does anybody know if this is realistic?

This is very sad.  Lindros, Yzerman, Lemieux...

By the way, thanks for mentioning that Soderstrom is back.  I was
wondering how he was doing.  I take it he didn't need to have surgery
again?

No.  He did undergo another procedure.  This time by one of the "premiere
specialists" of his field.  He is cleared to play and may start against
Buffalo on Sat.
