Micheletti sucks... FOX ANNOUNCERS

I just have to ask the question:

Does Joe Micheletti have eyes for Eric Lindros???

I can tell you that Lindros is a superstar--there is no question of that.
BUT does he have to go on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on
about Eric.  It does get nausiating after a while.  Paired with Sam Rosen,
it is enough to make ANYONE's stomach turn.

Why can't FOX do like ABC and NBC do for their "Baseball Night in America?"
This would pair one team's play-by-play man with the other's color commentator.
Example:  In a Pittsburgh-NYRangers game, Mike Lange would be paired with John
Davidson.
Or in a St.Louis-Chicago game, you would have Ken Wilson paired with Dale Talon.

By doing this, you get two different perspectives from the people who actually
follow the teams involved.  And believe me, you will NOT get any "HOMER"
broadcasts because as professional announcers working for wider/both audiences,
this will keep both announcers in check.  No one wants to sound like a "HOMER."

Any thoughts on this?

Agreed!  You would have thought that Eric Lindros was the only
one on the ice today considering that that is all that Rosen and
Micheletti talked about.  It was annoying enough for a neutral viewer
like me.  If I were a Sabre fan, I would have been ready to kick the
TV screen in.  It was ironic that Lindros was one of the main reasons
that the Flyers lost the game due to his idiotic penalty for
needlessly punching Dominik Hasek (the Sabres scored the insurance
goal on the ensuing power-play).

I think that your idea has a lot of merit.  As it stands now, I
don't understand why FOX almost always has Ranger booster John
Davidson work all the Ranger games without having someone from the
opposition broadcast crew to keep him in check.  Wouldn't it have been
interesting to hear Fred Cusick work with Davidson on the Bruin-Ranger
game today?  Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that FOX has
had Blackhawk fan Pat Foley work at least one Blackhawk game, which is
quite shocking considering how much of a homer he is (although he is
good).
