just waiting for the final outcome of the series, that's
all that counts.  Remember, the Whalers win game one against
the Bs almost every series only to go on to be eliminated.
Trust me, were not real concerned.

3 years in a row that the Bruins lose Game 1 ... could this be an omen of good
things to happen? From what I heard and looking at the highlights, it seemed
that Hartford dominated the whole game. Also, where's Janney ... I didn't see
him anywhere.

P.S. In the highlights package I saw, there was a shot of a woman reading her
economics text during the game.

Janney is hurt. He got cracked by Kenny Baumgartner. Legal good hit and sprained
his ankle. Yes that was a woman reading a of all things an Economics book. The
game was that boring.

Just My Opinion!!!

Where are all the Bruins fans?  I've seen nothing on this so far
except the UPI Clarinet summary.  Well I'm happy; GO WHALERS!

Last night was a good one for me: Whalers, Habs, Rangers, Devils!

I really wanted to see the replay of this game after the Devils-
Penguins surprise last night (there's a usa-distribution thread
on what exactly SportsChannel is showing, and where 'cos they're
a network of regionals) but as I pessimistically predicted, SC NY
had ... horse racing results!

(We don't have SC America in north Manhattan.  Too bad! )-;)

Yeah, we got that on CNN, ESPN and MSG SportsDesk, too.

Hey, you forgot one line of your message. It should be:

Trust me, were not real concerned,
because we know someone will beat us in a playoff series if Hartford
doesn't just like they've been doing the last 20 years we didn't win the Cup.

I just realized that since the last time the B's won the Cup, only 5 teams have
won it since!  So we're not the only one's to say that.  And what of the
Rangers, going on 50 years now?  Toronto?  Chicago?  Detroit?

And two of the Cup winners from the last 20 yrs didn't even make the playoffs
this year.  At least the B's have been in the hunt every one of the
last 24(????) years.

Would I sacrifice, say, 3 or 4 of those years of being a playoff team for
another Lord Stanley?  Tough to say........Bruins fans have had more highs
and lows in the last 20 years than any team this side of the Red Sox!
