As a Flyers fan...I will say that they are two of the best in the league,
but...Eric Lindros is potentially the best to play the game ever (including
Gretzky and Lemieux in their primes).  Lindros can do two things that Gretzky,
Lemieux, Jagr can only fantasize about doing.  He has the physical size to
punish anybody.  Watching him in the regular season in a Rangers game, I saw
him flatten Brian Leetch at the Ranger blue line, take the puck away from him,
and pass the puck off to a linemate, all in one fluid motion.  No one can lay
the body, and score the way that Lindros can.  Probably the closest comparison
would be Messier, but Lindros is a more complete player than Messier was at a
similar age.

He has the size of a goon, and the skating, and stick-handling of a
Gretzky...

Potentially the best ever, and certainly the best in the NHL right now.  Take
Jaromir Jagr away from Pittsburgh, and they're still one of the better teams
in the NHL.  Take Lindros away from the Flyers this year...they probably miss
the playoffs again...

Now, Lindross IS an excellent player, but he does not have the stick-
handling skills now that Gretzky had in his prime...no way.

IMO, Gretzky was the best scorer, passer, and stick-handler to ever play the
game.  Plus, he's a damn good defensive center despite being outsized.

Call me in ten years.
