Hull: Trade me!

Hull: Trade me!

Just read in today's paper that Brett Hull is already asking to be
traded.  The gist of it was that Hull didn't think he could get
along with Mike Keenan, so he'd like to go to LA to play with
his pal Wayne.

Because he didn't have his hand on the roster?  Smith did.  Now Keenan's
running the show, and if you don't get along with him it's adios...

It starts!  First comes Keenan, then goes Nedved, soon to go is Hull.

All the effort St. Louis has made to get quality "superstars", all the
money the Blues have spent, all the friends the Blues have made...will
sonn be for not.(I do say the "friend" part sarcastically)

Keenan, in my opinion cannot coach "superstars".  He is a dictator, and
most superstars need a motivator.  So, I predict massive trades, trading
away the "superstars" that they have worked so hard for, in returen for
the grinders who  can be threatened by Iron***!

Just my thoughts.

Review the tape of the victory interviews after game 7. Messier clearly
didn't share your opinion. I've never heard a player utter so many
superlatives about a coach. Since Messier is on the team, and we aren't,
maybe we should defer to Messier's point of view.

Please excuse me for not being a master of hockey trivia and of teams
and players past.

Didn't several of the Rangers including Messier and a few other guys
win a few Stanley Cups or something when they played with the Edmonton
Oilers back in the '80's?

Was Keenan the Oiler coach when this happened?

If not, I would throw out the guess that Messier and those guys didn't
absolutely have to have Keenan to 'coach' them to a Stanley Cup because
a lot of those guys already had a few Stanley Cup finals (and victories)
under their belts and had the experience to draw from and the motivation
on their own to want YET ANOTHER Stanley Cup ring.
