Player-of-the-week trivia and Quebec phone numbers

I learnt yesterday night that Mats Sundin was elected player of
the week in the NHL. So, I'm wondering if the player of
the week wins an amount of money or it is just a mention
to be proud of.

Thanks in advance,

The player does not win any money, youth hockey receives the money.  Pro Set
sponsors the player of the week, month and year.  Each winner is awarded the
right to choose a youth hockey organization that will receive a monetary
award.  (I think the money is $600, $1200, and $8000 - or thereabouts).  Mario
won the award for the first two weeks of this season and gave the money to the
Pittsburgh Amateur Hockey Association.  Last season Mats donated his winnings
(some week during Feb/Mar) to an amateur hockey federation in Quebec.  I
assume he has chosen the same organization this season.
