You could be right Greg, Wigan have an outside chance but that's about
it from where I stand. Still got the test matches to come in November.

You think Wigan will loose to Brisbane and Canberra, close matches or
heavy defeats?

: They lost to the 4th placed team who are struggling with injuries....

Bradford are having their own injury crisis as well.

We're a damn sight nicer since shipping all our beasts to the other

A *** being 25 points plus?

Possible, Wigan have lost a few this season, in fact they won at home
againsy Halifax on the opening day of the season by just a point or two
and Halifax missed a last minute kick at goal from in front of the
sticks. Shuster I think it was.

bit of a contradiction in terms here, either Wigan  deserved to win or they
didnt,eh?

Anyway I digress,I agree that the Brit teams are on a hiding to nothing, and
I will not make any attempt to hide the fact, but, you musy realize that
Rugby League is still a very minor sport here.Basically the catchment area
for League players is still very small.(but it is growing!!)Unfortunatly we
appear to have an abundance of 2nd rate Aussies playing here(with one or
two exceptions),who, because our Clubs seldom play any outside opposition
has given us the impression that we have a reasonable standard of a
game. Its now clear that we have a long way to go.By the way Im not blaming
the imported players for our poor performance.
It does not help when the ARL take our best players either,it simply means
we lose out.Perhaps we should be looking to get your best players to play
for us ,but of course we dont have the money. However please dont think
that Im mailing this in an attempt to make excuses,Im not.Its a simple
statement of fact. Its very easy to 'crow' when you are a winner its very
hard to be humble when you are a loser.Still our turn will come
Nice to know that you feel the Kiwis cheer for us,I dont think there are
too many Brits who dont cheer for them when they play the Kangaroos

Steve........Dedicated Wigan Fan!

PS Sorry we had the cheek to beat you in the last Cricket Test,...Im not
crowing,Honest.he.he.he

no....Canterbury played poorly & didn't deserve to win, hence Wigan did
deserve to win

How many of the best players have been taken by the ARL? I know that
Robinson is supposed to be coming, but there don't appear to be many
others.

Better than somebody else's signature 'Wigan the BEST' or something!

Well o.k. then, but just make sure it doesn't happen again.

Anyway, wouldn't it be wiser to wait until you have an unbeatable lead? (By
the way, it must say something about the state of league in u.k that you
would want to talk about other sports in a rugby league newsgroup!)
