Someone posted Whitehaven can't go up even if they win the grand final for
NL.

While the person may be kidding, what actually happens if the winner of NL
isn't allowed into the super league? Does the bottom club not get relegated?

That's a fact. Look at the Superleague or RFL websites.

No they don't. It's happened before, usually when Huddersfield were
bottom.

I wasn't kidding at all - the report that Whitehaven will not be accepted
into SL is factual.  If they win the Grand Final no team will be promoted,
and consequently there will be no relegation.

Sorry John, I just arent aware of all the rules etc that run the politics of
the game, and thought with the "tongue in cheek" remarks you may have been
kidding etc, even with HTML formatting commands etc.

Doesn't the grand final of NL happen around the same time as the super
league one? So nobody will really know the fate of the bottom club in super
league until then.

Yeah, but ...................

If Whitehave don't make it to the Grand Final then the bottom club (Les
Frogs excluded) know they will be relegated because Hull KR, Leigh & Widnes
have all been given the nod of acceptance - providing they win the GF.

I can't believe any club will be as lucky as Huddersfield - they finished
bottom (twice?) and avoided relegation be SL refused to accept the NL1 GF
winners.

It was always going to happen if Wiggin were at the bottom!

Wonderful being able to say "I told you so"when it doesn't happen
isn't it? Despite the clear statements from the RFL and David Whelan
there still persists the complex that says they won't let Wigan get
relegated.

BTW I'm not a Wigan fan nor of any SL club.
