2013 Tipping League Round 9 Summary

Post by Lloyd Barkha » Sat, 30 Mar 2013 22:24:48

After Phil Bentham's heroics in getting Bradford a draw last night at
Headingley, this week's bonus points are dead and buried. Catalans came from
behind to beat London in Esher as The Stoop was unplayable to go top of the
table for what might only be 24 hours. This was played in front of 1,146
spectators!! How long will SL be able to sustain a team in London with these
numbers?

In the tipping comp we have 11 tipsters on 2 points leading the way so far.

Leeds 18 - 18 Bradford  (Draw)

Tips received.....23

Tipped Rhinos...........23 by an average of +13 spread from +6 to +18
Tipped Bulls...................no-one!!!

Average tip.....Rhinos by 13    Bookies tip Rhinos by 12

As no-one tipped within 4 points in a draw there are no points for anyone!!

One more season of the current licence to go, but I have my doubts about
the Broncos surviving beyond the end of this season. Apart from the
plummeting attendances, there's still no ground for next year.

Maybe Mr Koukash has some friends who frequent Sandown or Kempton Park?
It will need his kind of money I think.

However, my new nearest professional club, Oxford, won their first game
today, so have a better overall winning percentage than any other
professional RL team, 100%!

I suspect Broncos are there only because Sky TV want them in, but if that
should be true then perhaps Murdoch & Co should provide the funding.

Personally I think the prospects of any successful enlargement of RL at the
professional level outside the M62 corridor is piw in the sky.  It ain't
gonna happen.

The sooner the game realises that, and starts to concentrate its efforts on
the existing successful areas, the better.

John.
