What happens when the Sky money runs out?

What happens when the Sky money runs out?

With only now 2 payments left to Division 1 clubs
from the TV money Iam utterly amazed by the
expenditure of clubs such as Dewsbury,Hunslet,
and Keighley on new players.Although progression
has to be admired I can only think that within 3 years
we will be left with very few clubs outside SL.As is
usual with RL financial expediency seems to be none
existant although thankfully my own club Featherstone
Rovers are working succesfully to eliminate our debts.
It beggers the question how many clubs will there be in
say 5 years time?

Good point m8. My team, Hull KR start another season in administration and
are signing players like they are going out of fashion. If you remove the
debt liability (which I know you can't) the club actually trades at a
profit! This is of course with the injection of Sky money. I'll be very
interested to see our attendance once the 1st division starts proper. We
have again changed our strip (3 in 3 years!) and you can't get a shirt as
they've all sold out! I can't envisage the situation in 5 years as we seem
to change the setup for 1st/2nd/3rd etc. each season. Stability is required
but I doubt we will get it.

When the money runs out you are called WAKEFIELD TRINITY!!!!:-))

Sorry about that I couldn't resist it.

Seriously your arguments are valid.

One point I picked up on RLSA Virtual terrace is that they think this is the
LAST year that ANY FASDA club COULD get into Superleague and may be the
actions of clubs are based on this. Who knows.

My opinion is that the door is bolted for good.
