Hi,

I'm currently working on the results for the UK game. Can someone please
explain to me why the Rochdale v Doncaster game, from looking at my draw
is on Sunday May 9 (Round 12) was played yesterday.

All help appreciated, please reply to my email.

Rochdale's home ground (Spotland) is jointly owned with the local third
division soccer club. This season, Oldham RL are also using the ground,
as they have been unable to pay the rent demanded to play at their own
local soccer stadium. Having 3 professional sports teams using the one
ground doesn't do the grass any good (especially when it rains a lot,
as it tends to in rochdale in february). So Oldham's game with Featherstone
had to be postponed last week. I'm guessing that as none of the 3 teams
had a home game arranged for this weekend, this game was brought forward
from a weekend when the soccer club are due to play at home.
