What's worth seeing in Oz and NZ?

Righty....those of you who know me a bit will know I'm off round the
world in November for a few months so I'm gonna be in Oz for Christmas
and NZ just after...

Is there gonna be any decent RL to watch (Sydney area) initially?

Not as far as I know (in NZ). It is the off-season after all!

Won't be much in the way of RL arouund Christmas. You might catch
a few trial matches in January. If you're still in Kiwiland when (or if)
Wigan tour then the games against the Warriors will probably be worth a
look. Other than that I hope you like summer sports.
Australian soccer plays a summer season but it really isn't too
spectacular (unless you like Australian soccer I suppose). Cricket is a
good option. I think the Windies are touring so you could catch one of the
tests (boxing day in Melbourne) or a day/nighter somewhere. Probably some
tennis tournaments on down that way sometime around Christmas too.

Catchya round, Leigh
