In today's local newspaper the new chairman of Keighley Cougars has said
that he has put a proposal to Maurice Lindsey regarding moving the
Keighley Cougars to Burnley and calling themselves the Pennine Cougars.
This would fit in with SL plans in that it has a better stadium and a
bigger catchment area of supporters.

Now moving your team from one town to another in your area is bad enough
but moving it from Yorkshire to Lancashire is unthinkable.  If this
happens and you Keighley fans don't want to be known as Yorkshire
rejects I suggest you get yourselves along to the number one SL team in
Yorkshire - The Bradford Bulls

A lot of teams (eg 2nd down in Division One) are coming up with these
ridiculous ploys to get promoted.

A good source from Burnley FC (er, my mate) reckons the old Clarets are
gonna tell em to *** off.

Pennine Cougars my arse. Get promoted and stop pissing about and that
goes for Huddersfield and Hull as well unfortunately. Much as I think
Hull should be in there they refused a merger earlier in the season cos
they wanted to go up on merit. Now they say if they finish top 4 they're
gonna apply to be fast tracked. Ooh, top 4 in an 11 team league packed
with the likes of Batley, Whitehaven and Rochdale.
