Matt,
Stanley is a fine player at off-half but not a natural ball player. Stanley
is much better used making half breaks rather than directing play. The
continued absence of Wayne Parker just shows how babdly we need a quality
scrum half.

I'm still only learning about the Robins, but know Stanley Gene is the best
player. I've heard of Wayne Parker, Knaggsy always talks about him to me.

I get all the KR info, like the newsletters, read their website and talk heaps
with the webmaster of the site.

My footy newsletter works very closely with the Hull KR site and since then
grown to have a great soft spot for the Robins.

I remember the first time I saw the Robins in action, 1986 on the Australian
Kangaroo tour, Australia won 46-10, Terry Lamb, my all time favourite player
scored five tries, could have had six but passed it to Chris Mortimer for him
to get a try. Knaggsy doesn't remember the day Lamb carved up the Robins at
Craven Park. Boustead scored the Robins only try with Dorahy kicking three
goals.

Cheers,
Matt.

On the matter of Gene, still a class player who would make the
transition to SL easily. Having seen him this season and last I would
have to agree that his best role is to be fed the ball in half decent
positions, from which he will punish any team, taking the ball up from
the ptb or first receiver he plays like a very effective pocket
battleship, but doesn't get the chance to produce those sublime
footballing skills that he clearly has.
