The highest-scoring round of the season, by a country mile!
Results....and margins.... were pretty much as expected, and
apart from those poor souls who went for Warrington, loads
of us reaped the benefits. Combined with a record week
for correct margins tipped, scores went through the roof.
Up until now, Arthur and meself had held the record for
the highest score - 17 points. But Jeff ( strangely quiet
of late) burst through that record with 18 pts.
Even Jeff has to bow, however, to this week`s ***Tipster
of t`Week***...........
DAVE RICHARDSON
who gathered an incredible 19pts, showing the rest
of us just exactly what can be done. Dave is a past winner
of the competition, and who is to say that he hasn`t just
regained his form at just the right time?
For the last few weeks Rusty Spokes and Bill L have been
slugging it out at the top of the Ladder, but with each of them
having a relatively poor week, the baying pack has managed
to just about catch up. Dave Heaton has burst through
into second place and the battle-scarred veterans brigade
of Lloyd, Dee and Ken Smith are***ing their lips now
in close pursuit. Even Jeff seems to have woken from
his slumber (....Jeez, and I haven`t even had a drink yet! )
And I know for a fact that WirralSaint definitely fancies
his chances of a wee drap or twa at the end of the season.
But with the sort of scores we have seen this week, just
about anyone is capable of still getting to the top of
the Ladder, and even if not, don`t forget we still have
the two play-off competitions at the end of the season,
so there`s still plenty to aim for yet!
