Bramley 25 York Wasps 8

An ultimately convincing win, built on a solid defence. Be warned,
division 2, the team with no tacky nickname is on the way up!

Cheers

No tacky nickname! Does Uncle Mo know about this? I give 'em six
months at the outside before they succumb. Maybe they need a few
suggestions ...  Bramley Bees? Barn Owls? Barracudas?

Hey, that's a good one! I wonder how noone's thought of it before? Such
intellect is wasted on such humble newsgroups as this.

I think Leeds Rhinos Reserves is tacky enough.  I fear that Bramley will
be no more than a feeder club for the Rhinos.  Also am I right that Leeds
will now be receiving two chunks of Murdoch money a season?

Centurions are back!!

Well, so far the team has comprised of much of last season's squad, with
only Mick Hill having been signed 'on loan' from Leeds. As for being a
feeder team, it doesn't bother me one iota, if it means winning a few
matches more than last season. As it was a straight choice between
playing at Headingley and going out of business altogether, they picked
the slightly lesser the evils. Even if they do become a 'feeder' team,
they're no use to Leeds bumming around at the base of the second
division, and Fletch has already said he wants them in the 1st, so what
have we got to lose (except Stead on the wing PLEASE!)

Cheers

The arrangement for sharing facilities at Headingley can't be working
too well if the events of last weekend are anything to go by. Having to
postpone your match against the Braves, because Leeds didn't want to
damage their pitch by playing three games on it in the space of two days
is a pretty lame excuse. Admit it your lot chickened out ;-)

BTW
Bramley - No tacky nickname?
Is this the same Bramley who used to hold car boot sales on their pitch
prior to matches?
The same Bramley who wanted to change their name to Bramley Marketmen to
promote the said fleamarkets, but were refused permission by the RL?

> MattYou will hopefully have realised that mine was a purely cynical point of

view.  As long as you don't upset our promotion march I wish Bramley all
the best.  I recall you did just that in the first game last season
beating us 15-14!
