Cummings - another great performance

Well dear old Stuart produced the worst refereeing performance of the year
in the Bradford /Cas game ......

No one was ever ten yards - ever .....did Cummings just give up ? Should'nt
he have called the captains together and said ' Next off side someone goes
to the sin bin'  ?.
Might've opened the game up a bit .......

More illegal PTB's than you can shake a stick at - I don't think Abi Ekoku
did one legal PTB the whole game ....

McDermott punches a Cas player while he is on the ground ( I know he was
getting elbowed but still ... ) and Cummings does nothing ......

Really quite a terrible all round performance ..... ruined the game.

He really is overdue for a slap on the wrist from the Director of Referee's
........ oh but I forgot .... the Director is Geoff Berry the MORON who has
removed the penalty try from RL with his 'The Official must be 100% sure
that the player would've scored ' mantra ....... so not much hope of that
useless fool disciplining Cummings then is there ?

I dislike complaining about referees, having been one myself, but I
couldn't agree more with the above. It seems to me that Mr Cummings
has been affected by the video etc to the point where he can't make a
decision. If a touch judge doesn't step on, then not much gets
whistled.

The PTBs were a complete mess, and whilst Cas were regularly offside,
it doesn't help when they lose a second or two because the opponents
can start early, playing the ball with one hand and no feet.

The McDermott punch was weird, because Mr C gave a penalty, so he
obviously saw it.

Disciplining referees is not the answer, though. The man needs a
break, a few weeks off, perhaps refereeing out of the limelight. One
of the problems of the small Super League panel is that a small number
of referees never have a game without pressure.
