What do you mean.  Wigan are not interested in Booth, Hunte or Prescott.
You can have them.  Esp Hunte who in the tests showed how ordinary he really
is.  In fat why don't Sharks take Sullivan as well for another huge fee.

Are you talking about that ordinary bloke who was last season's top try
scorer?  How ordinary does that make the Wigan, Bradford, London 3/4s?

Watch the tests did we?

Other people have topped the try scoring charts such as Offiah and Hanley.  Now
tell me would you rate those two in the same class?  Even though I enjoyed
watching Offiah there is no comparison with Hanley as an all round player.

IOW just because he scored a few tries does not make Hunte the most wanted
player in SL which is why the above teams were not daft enough to fork out the
kind of cash Hull were prepared to.  If he had been available for 50 grand,
then that is another matter.  IMO, he is not good value for money at Hull
prices.

Hunte is a good enough player to help Hull stay in SL (although it looks like
relegation is on the way out anyway) but he is not world class as his
performance in the tests (especially the last) shows.

IMO, Hunte received the usual accolades accorded to GB players (when they have
a half decent game) after the second test, i.e. he did one spectacular run and
became instantly world class.  We do this all the time.  The number of "world
class" players we supposedly have should see us pasting the Aussies by 20
points a game.

Yeah and GB's fastest winger was caught by a AUS loose forward who's a lot
heavier, and over 80 yards as well.  Hunte as I said, is not a top player
and if Hull want to splash out loads of cash then I'm sure there are a few
SL clubs who would want to dump avergage players thier way for large sums.
Wigan could sell Doc Murray to them for 150,000 pounds.  Throw in Koloi
for another 100,000 and Wigan would be laughing.

WiganRLfan .... got carried away

I never said he was the best player in the world.  He was the top try
scorer for the club that finished 3rd, and he's far less ordinary than
err... Radlinkski for instance.
I don't think Hull are being very sensible, but I don't think Hunte
deserves quite the slagging off he's getting.

I would not swap Radlinski for Hunte plus 100,000,

One of the few plus points of the third test was Radlinski's performance. The
tackle Radlinski pulled off on Aussie number 3 (only for the ball to be
switched to the Aussie right (opposite) wing for them to score unfortunately)
was copy book and typical of him.

Hunte in contrast, was ineffective in defence.

No they are not, but as I said before Hunte will not let them down but they
have IMO paid too much for him.

I don't think he is getting a slagging off.  Its just people started the same
old "he's world class" ***with him as they do with any GB player who makes a
half break against the Aussies.

I would agree with you that he didn't have much of a game in the last
test but then name me one player on the GB side that did!!

You're just looking at Hunte as the full deal here, but if you look at
what Hull have actually got then IMO its been quite a good bit of
business.  We sold Vaikona, who fair enough was a v.g. 1st Division
player, but is, as yet, an unknown quantity in SL, to Bradford for about
100,000.  We then buy Hunte AND Prescott AND Booth for about 350,000.
We now have 2 internationals, all the experience of SL they bring with
them and a supposedly good quality forward (I don't know that much about
him) and its cost 250,000 all in all.  It also may signal to other top
class players that Hull are aiming high and not just looking to exist in
SL next season making it easier for them to sign others later, just as
they did all those years ago when they signed 'Knocker' Norton, and
remember what happened after that.

IMO the board are trying to make things happen now which is something
that hasn't happened at Hull for a few years.  Whether what D Lloyd is
doing what's best for the club or for his bank balance remains to be
seen, but for now at least, he has my vote of confidence.

At least its made most of us Hull fans happy.  :-)

I take it that we can include Farrell in that statement can we.  He was
going to achieve wonders but IMO was a bit of a let down in the end.

As a stand off you can.  As a forward you can't.  Ask the Aussie players and
those involved with Aussie RL if they rate Farrell and the answer would be yes.

Whatever you think of Farrell it does not detract from the fact that Hull, IMO,
have***ed up by paying out so much for Hunte.

Which is too much for these players IMO.

Well I reckon you could have kept Vaikona and got the three Saints players for
250,000.

The board screwed up over the Vaikona thing and while buying these players may
ease the anger of those fans who went ballistic over the deal its still not
good business IMO.

If our kid's Chrimbo is a good one she'll have him in her bed teamed with

No taste some folk, I've tired to get her to fancy Paul Anderson instead
but she just won't wear it.
