Is it any surprise?

Well we have seen some pretty awful results for ESL sides in the WCC so
far (wring this before Wigan and Bradford games with hope in my heart) but
is any great surprise?

Warrington are just crap.  Putting 40 past em was a pretty poor show IMO.

Salford were dissapointing, they can do better, but don't forget this is
their first season in the top flight.  The fact they were even being put
forward as a possible success in the WCC was perhaps either optomistic or
high praise (take your pick).

Halifax - lost to a second rate Saints team and were thrashed at home by
Wigan BUT the close call they gave the Bulls does not auger well for
todays game.

Saints, well what can I say?  They have gone from being one of the top
sides domestically to also rans so fast its untrue.

Leeds are over rated.  They were ***last season and they are still some
way off being a top side (in ESL terms).  I reckon the best they can hope
for in ESL is 4th spot and that is largely down to the other sides being
poor rather than them being so good.

London did pretty good but suffered with the penalty count and when the
great man Edwards left the fray their chances went with him.  With a
hamstring injury he could be out for a while and that could nobble Londons
chances of going one better.

Top marks go to Paris and especially Cas.  The fact the ESL bottom team
almost pulls off a win gives me hope that the above mentioned teams can
get over the shock and play with a little pride and self belief.

Come on Wigan !!! and Come on the Bulls !!!

I thought we would put up a better show than this so far.

Only watched some of this game, but it looked like the Sharks eased up
after getting 40 points and should really have nilled them.

It just goes to show what an easy schedule the Reds had to start the
season. Now they have played some of the better teams there true forrm
is emerging.

70-6. Couldn't believe that score at all. That's not a gulf it's a
***y great chasm.

True and as I've said all weekend if Auckland are the worst team in
ASL....

The only excuses I can give is jet-lag and the temperature but even
these are a bit tongue in cheek.

Did well for 60 minutes but then tired.

Surprising how these were the closest results, but they've still to play
in Aus!!

Yeh, I hate to say this but I have to agree. We need to put some pride
back into ESL. 10-0 would be almost catastrophic.

Yeah wins against Wigan, Saints and Halifax (A) was the easy start
start we were looking for.

That lot couldn't hold their own in the first division never mind
Super League eh?
