Freeman is a Legend!!!! I loved it when he was playing for the Roosters.
But even when he left I still regarded him as the best No. 7 in the game.
He could make a team of no names competitve by his leadership and skill.

I also agree that Gary Freeman is a legend.  He can control and lead a
team like few others can.  He is by far the best New Zealand player I
have ever seen and I can't say there  are many other half backs that
are more talented then he is.

Yeah he's talented, but he's prone to tantrums if he doesn't get things
his own way - witness his little sitting-on-the-bus-and-not-training at
last years WC when he was dropped.  He also spats with any player that
dares to disagree with him.

As far as being NZs best player, well I would rate Mark Graham, Hugh
McGahan, and Dean Bell way ahead of him.  Oh, and Eion Crossan. :-)

Marty.
