Well once again we see our clubs showing little to no consideration
for the welfare of their players.

Rugby League matches kicking off at 3:00 in this HEAT!!

Crazy!!!

If clubs can't fill their grounds I very much doubt it is anything
to do with what time they kick off.

More something to do with what they offer (or don't offer) the spectators.

I won't attempt to answer for anyone else, but in my case the kick off
time is the most important factor in whether I can travel to the game
and get back home. Public transport is not brilliant on Sundays, and an
evening kick off, with the game finishing at 9-o-clock, does not leave
me enough time to get home from anywhere except Warrington (where I live)
Widnes, Wigan and St. Helens. From the Willows I get home at half past
midnight. 3-o-clock suits me fine.

Similar situation for me.  Trouble is how are the players going to cope
with 3-o-clockkick offs if the weather continues hot?

spot on Geff.
It's symptomatic of the lack of acumen and energy most clubs have(and have
had), for kick off times, read switching to sumer. Clubs have expected
people just to turn up, and when they haven't they blame summer football
and whinge about switching back to winter. Only a few clubs, notably the
bulls seem to have got the mesage, about targeting an audience...ie
families and going for that audience in a FUN and imaginative way. The
rest look as though they will only learn when it's too late.
