He isn't...but I think he's better than Saints Chris Morley, do you think
Leeds will do a swap?

Getting shut of their best players seems to be their forte at the
moment. It wouldn't surprise me if they did :)

Fans of either side who'd bought a jersey with 'Morley' on theback
wouldn't even have to burn them afterwards either!

I used to go to school with the pair of em. They were both shite then,
unlike me of course who was a right prospect! :)

around him are tossing it off, this guy does the running and tackling of
the back three by himself. Beware the bulls(hits), Moz is coming to get
you. As for swapping him with Chris, c'mon, Deano may be a bit slack, but
not quite that bad!

He came, he saw, he got sent off whilst Bradford conquered.

One penalty against him for a high tackle, two dropped balls leading
to Bradford tries and once catchingthe ball on the kick off and
putting his foot over the dead ball line to concede a drop out. Then
he decides to smack Donougher when the tackle was complete and he
walked straight away.

I wouldn't worry, on last nights performance Saints wouldn't have him
anyway.

Bradford 54 - 8 Leeds. Noted on the same page of my little book.

OK, Fair play, he didn't have his best game in a Leeds shirt, but who can
blame him for wanting to get out of there as soon as possible (ie 60
minutes). Playing at Odsals bad enough, without losing there. You have to
bear in mind that he IS Leeds at the moment, certainly the only player
worth his money at the moment, and, unfortunate though it was, a certain
Mr. C. Hassan learnt the Moz loves tacking hard. One bloke certainly not
worth his money seems to be Graham Holroyd. People always seem get on my
back when I slag him off at Headingley, saying give him a chance, well
he's had 100 chances (games) and he's shit, if not shitter than he ever
was. Good job that Robbie Paul had a shit game as well, or we'd have been
in even more trouble.
A question. Are the McDermotts related?
Another Question. Do you honestly think that Bradford Bulls will
win anything?
Another Question. Where are Bradford getting all their money from
- they've certainly taken the 'moneybags' mantle away from the loiners
Yep, another question. Do you think the signing of Stuart Spruce
spells the end for Paul Cook. Perhaps you're starting to understand why
Leeds were happy to let him go now. Brilliant kicker though he is, that's
about where it finishes.
Right, I think that's about it!!

That's one way of putting it :)

He's out of position, that's why he's crap. When he was playing at
stand-off under Laughton he was one of the best prospects in the
country.

Yep. Though Paul was out of position for a long period as well. He's
played scrum half for most of the last two seasons and with Tomlinson
coming back from injury he reverted to scrum half about 20 minutes
into the game.

No. They like giving each other a hug though don't they? :)

Thinly veiled dig Alex? To answer your question, yes I do. Not this
season though, but next season they're going to be very much
challenging from the start.

The difference between the nearly ran Leeds sides of the past and the
current nearly ran Bradford side is that Bradford are playing on
personal pride and team spirit instead of the ever increasing
contracts Leeds used as motivation.

But have they? Look at the players we've signed this season and last.
Lowes was bought outright with some of the money from the Newlove
deal. Glen Tomlinson was a swap deal, as were Matt Calland, Paul Cook,
Sonny Nickle, Paul Loghlin and Bernard Dwyer. Jon Scales cost 15,000
and he's the top try scorer at the club this season (guess where he
came from) and Jeremy Donougher and Graham Bradley were out of
contract players.

The only outright buys we've had are Steve McNamara dn Stuart Spruce
and they add up to 250,00-ish. I bet there's still change left over
from the money the club earned from the Wembley trip.

I don't think so at all. He hasn't played recently because he twisted
an ankle and Carlos Hassan took his place on the wing. He's had to
fight his way back into the squad and now he's got his chance with
Hassan likely to be out for a while. He's had some inspirational
performances this season and was outstanding last season once he'd got
used to the idea of being a Bradford player. The same could be said
for Hassan and so that's why he hasn't played. That's what strenght in
depth is all about, you have to fight for your place.

Adrian Morley...

Post by J.K.Thom.. » Sat, 01 Jun 1996 04:00:00

Okay then..seeing as it was me who started this Adrian Morley thing, let
me tell you something about him.

He is brill. The brightest second row prospect since Denis Betts. Him and
Haughton are going to hold down the GB second row places for years to
come once Monsieur Betts packs it in.

Everyone knew he was something special when they first heard about him.
And he is. Nuff said. Al...does that help yer argument with Mr Russell.

Now something else. His team are utter shite. I can't believe they are
the same team (and there's alot of similair players) to teh one which has
consistently been the second best around the last few years. I watched
them all through that, and even though the crowd still wanted more, they
knew we had a good team. Now what's wrong. Barrie Mac. What a complete
waste of money. Sooner he pisses off to jail the better. Keep Deano, but
get someone in alongside him, a proper coach. Deano will learn with
proper guidance. That was the original plan when Dougie was here, so why
did they not get a replacement for Dougie and just let Deano learn his
trade under him. It would have worked then. Someone like Sean Mcrae would
be perfect. i don't care if he's an aussie.

At least we've still got teh best youngsters in teh game, even if they
never actually fulfill their potential. a' la Holroyd.
