Challenge Cup Draw - Predictable or what ??

Good to see the RL are as predictable as ever. Everyone's been predicting the
semi draw would be one all Yorkshire and one all Lancashire (well Merseyside
against Gtr Manchester is the same) for weeks, assuming results were as they
turned out.

Soi when the draw is made what a surprise -

Bulls vs Rhinos   at McAlpine
Saints - Salford  at Tescos new super store

Nice of Maurice to admit the draw had been known for weeks when he said thea
the venues were already decided before the draw was made. Martin Edwards even
had the speech "could be a repeat of last year" ready when he was asked to
predict the final.

Also seems the players knew who they'd be playing (quote Bernard Dwyer "no
surprise in the draw")

Well see the Rhino fans at McAlpine for 40 minutes again before the gates are
opened to let them escape and then bring on the Saints at Wembley.

Come on you BULLS

Leeds again - what a surprise!!  Lets hope its a repeat of last years semi
result and its Wembley again.  As an exiled Bulls fan in Boston US I
usually have to wait a week before I can read about the weekends games but
the WWW is helping to cut down on the wait.  It sound as if the Bulls are
getting it together in time for the final - lets hope Leeds do not improve
too quickly.  I look forward to a second trip across the "pond" to the
twin towers.

Hard to see Leeds coping with Bradford at the moment but just remember
this is only part of Leed's rehabilitation as a top six SL side.
Anything other that a complete trouncing will be a good sign for Leeds.

At this moment in time I can't see us beating the Bulls but we are without a shadow
of a doubt better than we were this time last year. If we can get two decent
results in the first two SL games then I'm sure we'll give the Bulls a run for
their money.

Just because the venues have been decided does not mean the teams playing
in them have been. Think about it. Where else apart from the McAlpine and
Central Park were they going to play the semi's.

Having said that, I think the only thing left to decide about the
semi-final draw back in round 1 was which team would be the cold ball and
which team the warm one.

I hope so Lloyd. I'm looking forward to this game in a big way this year.
I do think though that the game should have been at Elland Road. If Leeds
get good results early on then I suspect in the current climate both
teams should be able to sell out the McAlpine on their own for such a
game.

Better buy my ticket this week.

Chris.

Absolutely! What is the capacity at the McAlpine as I'm sure there could be well
over 20,000 if both teams start the season well.

Anybody know what the ticket arrangements are yet?
