Gary Mercer has been banned for five games and fined 200 squids for an
off the ball incident in Sunday's Bradford v Leeds game.

I must borrow the tape and see what happened. All I saw was loads of
ooh's and Graham Bradley sprawled out on the floor.

To his credit, writing in his column in the YEP last night Gary actually
said he was going to plead guilty and take the punishment given out. He
admitted that this sort of thing should be stamped out and that it
wasn't malicious just a rush of ***.

: Well I must admit I didn't see the incident first time and told "the big
: fairy to get up". When I saw the replay on the big screen I cringed. It
: was truly a late, late tackle around the head. If I'd have been a match
: official I would've sent him off. And that's from a Rhinos fan.

I can't imagine why I didn't look at the screen at the time. Oh well, no
TV game tonight so I'll watch it then.

At least he's honest about it, that's nice to see.

It's a cleverly designed chameleon like .signature that can like like one
of two things depending on whether you have a fixed pitch font in your
newsreader or not. On the one hand it could be an error message
signifying a system crash from early kernel versions of Linux, on the
other hand it could be a right ***ing mess.
