What ever happened to the RLSA

Post by Geff Fost » Mon, 05 Aug 1996 04:00:00

Well what did happen to it?

I know it's still running in Yorkshire but in Lancashire
it died the death.

Ah yes, many a good time were spent at Leigh Labour Club arguing
with staunch Wigan fans John and Cath Mason.

At the end there was only me and a mate turning up, sitting there
playing the 100.00 bandit waiting for everybody else to turn up.

Wen't to a couple of their big meetings too, I'll never forget that
Cas fellow Louis Kasatkin, I think he writes into the Express/Leaguer
quite a lot.

Talk about a paramilitary!

Anybody any ideas?????

Its still there and at the moment they are doing a survey on SL and a few
of the issues of the day such as summer rugby.

For Talcoms benefit the RLSA is the Rugby League Supporters Association
and the web page is:

http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/rlsa_uk/

This page was last updated 5th Aug.

Funnily enough, before Geff posted his question about the RLSA I had
stumbled across the homepage and was thinking of joining and then I read
the above.  I mean can you imagine an RLSA meeting with just me and Geff
attending? :)

How about sticking the URL of the RLSA on the RL home pages and the rsrl
pages?

You never know if there is enough interest it could be just the excuse I
need for a night  out.  Don't think the wife would approve of Geffs
probable attempt at a frontal labotomy though :)

: What was the RLSA

Rugby League Supporter's Association. Yes they are still going, but they
were always stronger in Yorkshire than Lancashire. They're on the WWW at:

I could see that coming. :) On the old URL the link to RLSA was in foot
high letters at the top of the page Dave.
