Draw: Challenge Cup 6th Round - QFinals

London Broncos v Hull K R
Salford v Hull
Castleford v Sheffield
Wigan v St Helens

These games to be played on the weekend of 14th and 15th March.

You might expect the Pies v Saints game to be the Saturday Grandstand
match but apparently the Latics are at home that Saturday and the
police can't/won't do both fixtures. Thus we get the best commentator
for the pick of the round. Nice one, copper.

Cas' v Sheffield looks like the best of the rest but Salford v Hull
looks equally interesting. I hope they go with the latter so we get to
see as wide a range of clubs as possible get on terrestrial TV, it
should be just as competitive a game (if not more so, depending on how
the Eagles are shaping up).

Steve, who are you going to shout for now that the Robins are playing
down your way mate? Forsake thy Bronco for yon Airlie Bird.

Chris, now wanting a London v Castleford final.

The draw's come out perfectly for London. The other three matches look well
balanced, and all should produce excellent entertainment.

I have to say that the quality of the football so far has been very
impressive, particularly with the season still over a month away. It's been
great to see how much Cas and Warrington have improved. The winter break has
been well used! The signs are that SL3 couold well produce great contests
whoever's playing.

What we desperately want now is for the RL ( and perhaps the RL supporters'
organisations) to take the BBC to task for the way it has ignored the SCCC
matches. No build up, and no match reports afterwards. It's not acceptable,
and it wouldn't happen with any other sport the BBC shows on Grandstand.

My hopes? Wigan to lose one semi-final, London to win the other.

John
