Well since the injury occured half way thru only the second match
of the season he didn't get much of a chance to play, well or otherwise.
If it's any indication, Easts won their first match 38-10 and the match
that Clarke was injured in 40-2.
I heard a bit about his injury a couple of weeks back. They reckon
he's recovering better than expected and should be right to play again
next season with no ill effects.

Catchya round, Leigh

In an interview with Phil in todays Super League Week magazine
(09/08/96) he says "I've started light training now and I'll hopefully
be back playing next March. I'm a very lucky man."
