Hypothetical Roman Polanski question

If Roman Polanski had used a gun instead of ***/Quaaludes to get
what he wanted from a 13-year old girl, would Hollywood have demanded
his immediate execution?

I have a question.

WTF does Roman Polanski have to do with anything?

How our society deals with an admitted child rapist who flaunts the
law for one thing.   How would you feel if it was your 13 year old
daughter who was***d by a 40-something?

I'd feel like it was relevant to me.

Maybe you should explain why, with everything else going on
in the world, we should care one way or another about this
case. I don't give a shit either way. Justice delayed is
justice denied, so quit stroking yourself.

It's times like these when we should all turn to the Catholic Church
to advise us on punishment for child rapists.

It figures you don't care about justice.  So clearly you really didn't
have to state it.

Hypothetically, no. Spector used a gun to commit *** and the Hollywood types were largely quiet
about it.  Polanski was enough one of them and enough of a wacko liberal they would have likely
overlooked the indiscretion.  Guns aren't as bad when one of "them" have them.

Let's deal apples-to-apples here... the question is, how does our
JUSTICE SYSTEM deal with child rapists who are Catholic priests?

At least as much as "Newsmax: Your trusted source for news and
opinion".

Heh.  I was making the parallel that these Hollywood idiots coming to
Polanski's defense are acting much the same way the Catholic Church
acted when they ignored the crime and instead shuffled the offenders
around.

as far as the justice system is concerned it is blind and should treat
all equally and I hope Polanski rots in a jail cell...preferably with
a former Catholic priest.

Oh, I think when Newsmax prints a piece by a guy who worked in
two DEMOCRATIC administrations that says, basically, "This is
what to expect when the coup happens," that's a bit of cold
water in the face for just about any American, isn't it?

It creeps me the *** out, to tell you the truth.

No, they would blame the gun for the*** of a 13 year old.

When the justice is delayed because the perp flees it doesn't necessarily mean that the violation
should be ignored.
