Advice on Running Back rankings: Help!

Post by Wrinkle0 » Sat, 21 Aug 1999 04:00:00

Hey guys.  My draft is coming up soon.  I am in an ESPN league.  It is 6 pts
for a touchdown and 1 pt for every 10 yards rushing/receiving.  These are my
preliminary rankings.  I know that they aren't going to be the same as yours
but am I on the right track and am I making any serious errors?
(from highest ranked to lowest)

Terrell Davis
Fred Taylor
Jamal Anderson
Dorsey Levens
Curtis Martin
Marshall Faulk
Ricky Watters
Eddie George
Ricky Williams
Emmitt Smith
Robert Smith
Corey Dillon
Edgerrin James
Jerome Bettis
Antwain Smith
Natrone Means
Duce Staley
Adrian Murrell
Lawrence Phillips
Curtis Enis
Skip Hicks
Mike Alstott
Bam Morris
Napln Kaufman
Priest Holmes
Warrick Dunn
Tim Biakabutuka
Cecil Collins
Gary Brown
Leroy Hoard
Kevin Faulk
Terry Kirby

Give me some "fine tuning" advice

I must agree.  I certainly have different opinions on some players, but that
is the only name that just jumped out at me.

Yeah you're right, 6,341 yds & 46 TDs in the last 4 years -- he's a
real slacker.

I'd lower Philips and raise Means a few notches.

After seeing the highlights from the Colts game last night I would place
Edgerrin James much higher. I believe Edgerrin James will do better than
Ricky Williams this year because the Colts have a better QB than the Saints.

Skip Hicks is WAY to high.  Norv Turner doesn't know if Hicks or Stephen
Davis will be the number 1 back.  Hicks has not been impressive this
preseason.

Put Cecil Collins just behind Bettis and downgrade Phillips a bit
