In - Legal headhigh tackles

Out - Free kick for headhigh tackles

Two of the biggest coathangers took place on Brent Heaver and Adrian
Hickmott in the Forward Pocket, under the Main Scoreboard with the umpire
in good position, 20m away and nothing.  Hulk Hogan would ahve been proud
the Essendon boys.

Did anyone see Paul Barnard give a Carlton player ( I can't remember who it
was, I spent my time checking who the culprit was then going absolutely
sick abusing the bastard) a blatant  clothes-hanger on the Southern stand
flank? I can't believe it wasn't picked up on video, it was only 10 metres
off the ball.

Only two of many head high tackles from Essendon.  What about
Calthorpe's (I think it was him) tackle on SOS - from behind, right arm
around the neck, left hand grabbing him over the left side of the
face. SOS was shepherding another player at the time, but the ump
actually saw this one.  This was on the wing in front of the Southern
Stand, 3rd Quarter, SOS kicked to Williams, he precision passed to Murphy
who goaled from the set shot.

And what about those two soft frees (and 50m penalty on the 1st)
paid to Essendon early in the last quarter.  At least Fletcher missed
from the 2nd.  The Essendon fans around me were gloating about
them. Then there was the free in the goal square paid to Heaver
against Wanganeen in the 1st quarter, that was totally ridiculous as well.

It all has something to do with Essendon playing a dirty brand of
football.  At the Hawks/Essendon game, the Hawkies ended up with 3
concussed players, as well as Shane Crawford going down twice (I know he
was hit in the nuts once)
Was there a report? Hell no, after all, it was ONLY Hawthorn.  Its' not
like we complain to teh AFL about such incidents.

(Yes I am bitter and twisted)

Its common knowledge Essendon are a dirty side, thats why its always so
sweet to beat them.  if you need proof, you only have to look at the fact
that Dean Wallis is on their list.  Sure he kept Kernahan quiet Saturday,
but Kernahan has days like that and has hardly set the world on fire
lately
