Drive-Ins Judged....

....found to be teh suck.  I guess I'm getting too damn old.  Either that,
or I am truly ADD..... too many distractions.  The little one seemed to
enjoy it, though, and super cheap entertainment..... but I couldn't see the
screen much.   I think it was Willie Wonka we watched, although it might
have been Brian Jones singing "We Love You" and  smoking a hookah.

WiNK, I've been to one world fair, a picnic, and a rodeo, and
that's the stupidest thing I ever heard come over a set of
earphones.

I miss drive-in movies.  That was the staple of our friday nights
during the summers of 86-87.  $5 a car(truck)load.  Pile about 8 of
us in the back of Jay's '68 chevy pickup, park it backwards, and set
up lawn chairs.  You got 3 flicks.  Two last run recent films
followed by some B-horror.

That was the last summer for Skyline Drive-in.  The screen survived
another 10 years in hopes somebody would buy it, but it finally
succumbed to development.  Sad.

You not suppose to see the screen when your SUPPOSE to be positioned to look
out the back window.  BTW, make sure roof has good padding too!!!

Considering I was there with my daughter, this kind of made me nauseous.

Ours is *still**** in there..... it's on the very edge of town, and
they say they will do everything they can to keep it open.  It's kind of a
"landmark," at this point.

Luckily my hometown still has an active drive-in... nothing better than
loading a car full and drinking yourself stupid while watching movies.

What if she wasn't there, and you were there with Barry Manilow?

Linda-Kay Drive-In, Duncanville, TX.  XXX movies.  I was there in the summer
of 1983--some German overdubbed pr0n, but some things are unversal.

God bless Texas...

I live about twp blocks from where that drive in used to be. I always called
it the "Danieldale Drive In." Saw Easy Rider there about 50 times before I
went in the Army in 1970.
