I mean in terms of determining the "worthiness" of a film or not.
They hold films to standards that 90% of casual film viewers just don't
care to do so.
The best reviews are word of mouth. What are your family members,
friends, colleagues, etc saying?
A film is just e-n-t-e-r-t-a-i-n-m-e-n-t. If you like the subject
matter, and you're out with a group of friends and you want to see
something after dinner, go ahead and watch the movie.
Yeah, sure watch Da Vinci Code. Why not?
Movies don't HAVE to be life-altering.
I'll never not go watch a movie because Critic Y said that director Z
didn't make use of a plot device A that enabled actor D to use his full
strengths to shine through, etc etc are you kidding me? People actually
worry about that stuff??
