...and ASU is now 8-2.

Will the AP Poll please rank ASU 15th now?

Yes, I realize we lost to the #1 and #4 teams in the country (both on
the road), but we've won every other game.

ASU is Top 15 material.

Top 10, even. They're better than Michigan.

If you're going to lose, lose early.

Michigan is the fifth best team in the country.  If there is one consolation
over yesterday, it's that a Michigan / Cal Rose Bowl will be extremely
entertaining.  Very blue and yellow, but extremely entertaining.

Which one of Utah/Cal is Michigan better than?  I really don't see
much to differentiate a team like Michigan from a team like ASU.

Michigan is better than Utah.  Michigan is better than ASU.  History just
tells me that the best team out of the Big Ten in generally better than the
best MWC team and the third best Pac Ten team.

At this point in the season, I'd take Michigan over all three.  In a RUTS
over Cal.

Top 15, maybe, but no chance on top10.  They beat the teams they're supposed to, if
barely, like Stanford and UCLA.  They didn't show that they belonged on the field
with Cal or SC, losing by a combined 72-7.  If they can pound on A&M at the Holiday
they can get a nice final polling result.

But the difference between Michigan and the next 4-5 teams in the big
ten is small. The difference between Utah and the next team in the MWC
is obviously huge.  Just look at the results.  The only other
semi-decent team UM beat in the big ten with any ease is Iowa, and
that's when Iowa was coming off a 49 point loss to ASU.  Minnesota,
Purdue, MSU all required 4th quarter comebacks.

With the exception of a 14 point win at air force(and that game wasn't
in doubt at any point), Utah has just blown out everyone.  Not even
close.  That says something, and based on UM's play this year there is
no way they blow out Utah's opponents with the ease that Utah has
done.  They may blow out some, but I would bet they have a lot more
close games with Utah's schedule than Utah has.

If UM and Utah were to play and the line opened at a pickem, I would
actually feel comfortable giving UM 5 or 6 points and throwing some
juice my way.  I don't think Utah would need to win a squeaker against
UM.
