While I agree with the above commentary -- plus the added bonus of
seeing a young, hot Mia Farrow *** (albeit in a creepy devil-rape
scene, some Roman clearly knows much about) -- I prefer his production
of Macbeth.

The two leads, Finch and Annis, maybe the best combo I've ever seen in
the Macbeth and Lady Macbeth roles. Plus, the film just haunts like
Macbeth really should haunt.

Sad to say -- and it is a clich, too -- Polanski probably couldn't
have made such a great Macbeth if his wife hadn't been ***ed.
