Not Impressed With Oklahoma Defense

Post by Charles Hur » Mon, 01 Oct 2001 05:23:21

I haven't really had a chance to watch Oklahoma this year until today.
All I have been reading about is how they have the #1 defense in the
country. Please! 37 freaking points scored on OU's 1st team defense?
They caved in the 4th quarter and were very, very fortunate to squeak
out the victory, thanks to their offense. What a comeback by K-State.
Great game.

May I remind you that KSU scored 55 pts vs the OU defense in two games
last year, and OU's defense still *** slapped the "unstoppable" F$U
offense to claim the national title?

May I remind you that was LAST YEAR. I'm talking about this year's
obviously overrated OU defense.

Guess what?

OU's defense this year *is* better than last years.

That is the opinion of anybody that has seen more of them than your only
watching this one game.

Yeah, but that was against Bobby Bowden.

You meant to say, "against Bobby Bowden and his F$U offense that
averaged 42 pts/game and never less than 24 against any defense last
year when Bobby Bowden wasn't playing OU". This includes Miami, Georgia
Tech, & Florida.  Of course BB's defense managed to score 2 pts. against
OU's offense.

Well, that explains it.

Bowden is way too old to be effective at playing QB against the mighty Sooners.
