I thought this meant the lockout was over.

Why the jubilation?

Recruiting season (fanwise) hasn't quite started for many of us.

The #1 CB in the nation announced he's going to Penn State.
His name is King.

This was very important to Penn State. It's easy to say "one player
doesn't make a difference" but right now, to this school, it does. It
makes a huge difference.

Unfortunately, to make recruiting work you have to have a coach.

Well, look. I mean, is he gonna be able to chase us? Cause if I woke up
lookin' like that, I would just run towards the nearest living thing and
kill it.

If there is 1 position where Penn State has done a pretty reliably good
job turning talent into production, it's DB. There probably isn't
another position on the field where you can say that the last 5 years,
but their DBs have been good.

So if they've had good DBs for the past five years and have still
suffered the ups and downs, I don't see why all the rejoicing for one a
little bit better than the others.

Now, if Joe Pa stumbled into the Fountain of Youth while researching
retirement homes in Orlando, THAT would be cause for celebration.

Particularly when you consider:
-Taliaferro's career was cut short by John Cooper's RUTSing hubris
-Rich Gardner was a walk on

You could say that about DL too.

LB's were hurt by the revolving door between Sandusky and Vanderlinden. We
lost Leon Williams for sure because of that.
