CFL Hall of Fame Weekend: TSN

Post by Keith Willough » Sat, 17 Jun 1995 04:00:00

Noticed in today's TV listings that TSN will be broadcasting a
30-minute show entitled, I believe, "CFL Hall of Fame Weekend".
It is on Sunday at 5:00 p.m. (Mountain time).

From the title of the show, I would assume that Hall of Fame
festivities kick off this weekend.  Is the CFL still going to
hold a "Hall of Fame" game?  From what I recall, this game used
to be held in late September/ October.

Regards,

Keith

They already have.  It was the TiCat-Argo game Thursday.  Tommy Grant,
Dieter Brock, and Greg Fulton were honoured at halftime.
The Hall of fame game used to be late in the year, but this was the third
straight year that it has been the pre-season game.  Each year, before
the game, they hold a Legends Touch Football game.  This year, the Angelo
Mosca coached East team beat the Ellison Kelly coached West team 14-6.
The East leads the series 2-1.
I think I briefly mentioned this near the end of my post with the Subject
header "TiCats 33, Argos 17".
BTW, sorry I put the score in the subject, since I'm new this year.  But
I don't really think it matters for a non-televised pre-season game.

Ah, would you believe the Cats/Argos exhibition game was the Hall of Fame game?

.....isn't the NFL's Hall of Fame game also an exhibition game?

Yes it is.  It is played every year at Canton, Ohio and is the
first game of the NFL pre-season.

I don't know if it was the Hall of Fame game per se, but
apparently the inductees were introduced at last night's Argo-Ticat
pre-season game so one could say that that was the Hall of Fame game.
And this weekend is the Hall of Fame weekend Keith.
