I'm gonna have to start selling plasma to get some tickets:

Elvis Costello at Pine Knob/DTE Music Theater 6/7
King's X at Royal Oak Music Theater 6/15
Midnight Oil at Clutch Cargo/Pontiac 5/19
David Sylvain at the Michigan Theater/Ann Arbor 5/11

King's X??  I didn't know they were still together and touring and.........

I would sell plasma for this as well.

Elvis Costello.....I've *tried* liking him....I know it's the thing to do.
I just can't.  It's the wrong Elvis for me.

Midnight Oil is ***ing awesome. And they are even better live. I've seen
'em blow away headline acts who weren't too shabby. A reason to travel
perhaps?

Did I mention that Concrete Blonde, intact, will be playing the
Handlebar in Greenville, SC Tuesday-week?

You get a plane ticket up, and I will take care of everything else.

    GO!!!!!!  I saw him a few years back at Bumbershoot
here in Seattle.  Awesome show.  Amazing that he still
has the incredible voice after all these years.  And still has
the energy to really kick it up for his older tunes that he
must be sick of playing (ie..Alison, RadioRadio).

decided it would be nice to share this with the class:

->I'm gonna have to start selling plasma to get some tickets:
->
->Elvis Costello at Pine Knob/DTE Music Theater 6/7
->King's X at Royal Oak Music Theater 6/15
->Midnight Oil at Clutch Cargo/Pontiac 5/19
->David Sylvain at the Michigan Theater/Ann Arbor 5/11

->Deb

the Who is touring again too... but at $154 for the good seats I'll
pass....

Ditto.  I saw that, but they're playing the Palace up here (Pistons
playground), and aint no way I'm paying that much money for that shitty
of a venue.

All the shows I listed are in small venues (the Midnight Oil show is
actually at a converted church/bar), with the exception of the Elvis
Costello show; Pine Knob (Now DTE Energy Music Theater) is an outdoor
venue, but from what I've read, they are only selling pavillion seats...
drrooooollll...

One of the guys from rec.music.makers.percussion has been playing with Burt
Bacharach.  Elvis appeared on their gig at "Sesssions at West 54th" on A&E.

The lead singer dude finally told us all what we knew.  He's gay and decided
to not be a Christian anymore.

I've seen these guys a number of times.

I'd like to see these guys.

A great place to see a show.... if you don't mind being within spitting
distance of the performers.

I think a book would be better than this line-up. Where's
Willie-n-Waylon...Of wait, where's Willie?

He's probably out recording another duet with Pat Gr^H^H^H^H^H^H some
random hack so he can get himself in the Guiness Book of Records.
